    Z3 rear hubs

    Sup bros,

So I'm doing my research on the 5 lug swap and I've seen some threads/sites that indicate you can use z3 (6cyl) rear hubs on our cars... stock bearing and everything, just pop it in.

Problem is, I've been pricing everything out and I can't find rear z3 hubs ANYWHERE online. I've found a few places that have them, but it says they're for the M coupe and M roadster.. these are the only ones I can find, no regular 6 cylinder ones.

Question is, is are they all the same? Could've sworn I read the bearing is different on the z3m, it's wider, different brakes, ect.

If they're not different, where do I get a non-m 6cyl hub? BMW or a junkyard?

    Thanks

its true you can use them, it's what I have on my car. you need to have the z3 calipers and carriers as well. Checkout pelican parts, I know they have some. What is your plan for the fronts?

note: it pushes out past the stock hub by 23mm.

I was thinking about buying those Latvian spindle sleeves so you can just use the stock strut. My main goals are:

        1. Decent BBK/stopping power (I've got manual brakes now), planning on 330i brakes

        2. Being able to fit decent tires on the cheap, which means getting 17's. 17" wheel selection in 4x100 sucks balls.

        3. Not related to the 5 lug swap, but get me some e46 control arms, a z3 rack and whatever tie rods to make that work.

Hoping to spend around (preferably less than) $2500, including wheels and tires for everything. Once I finally get funds together and pull the trigger I'll hit you up for those steering shafts, if you've still got em

Holy fuck... is the face where the axle nut goes super recessed or something? I heard the stock axles work with those hubs, that's the only way I can figure it working.

No, the non-m z3 just has a wider axle. The mz3 has narrower hubs, but uses a totally different bearing.

            Why not e30m3 hubs?

Yes you can use stock E30 axles with the 6 cylinder Z3 hubs.

So where can I buy the non-m z3 rear hubs? (don't wanna go with the M3 stuff due to obscurity, but then again I'm having trouble finding the rear hub)

They're nowhere online (except the z3m), is this a dealer/junkyard part?

Of course it is. Where else do you expect to find one?

Huh?? That's kind of a vague answer... so the non-m 6cyl z3 rear hubs are junkyard/dealer items?

Uh, the internet? Rockauto? Ebay? Google? Nothing came up (except for the z3m)

So with Z3 6cyl (non M) hubs you can run Z3 brakes on the E30 control arms and it all fits?

Look up the part number on realoem.com and send a message to Blunt. Simple as that.

You do realize that major parts suppliers have access to a LOT more parts than just what they put on their website, don't you?
