Whats the deal with not being able to keep an e brake. I know the hub on the rotors are bigger. Has anyone made a backing plate so that you can use M3 rear brakes and keep the e brake?
Why cant we use E36M3 rears and e brake?

Its possible to make a ring and pres it into the brake "drum" and keep the E-brakes function. -
I used 128i rotors and e34 540i calipers. The 128 rotors have a much deeper "hat" than the e36 m3.
I had to make custom brackets for the calipers, and i spaced the backing plates out .25", but it gave me brakes almost as large as e36m3, and functioning e-brake.
I have z3- 6 cly hubs, so if you are using 318ti hubs, you may not need to space the backing plate out.Comment

Rongineer makes brackets to fit e46 325 rotors and e39 528 calipers. Same ID hub so ebrake stays the same.2001 silver/Blk 325 cabby. SOLDOriginally posted by codyep3I hope to Christ you have looks going for you, because you sure as fuck don't have any intelligence.
