I would say this:
Why do you want to do this? What is your goal with the car?
My reason for going 5 lug was to get bigger brakes, double adjustable coilovers, wider tires. I competitively autocross my car and do HPDE Track events. The susoension and wider tires have made my car pretty awesome.
It is a lot of work if you want to do it right.

I say no unless you want specific wheels and bigger brakes. Even the brakes you can get upgrade kits without going 5-lug.
I am doing them but thats only because I am going 17" wheels with E46 M3 brakes front and rear on the car.Comment
