I know he was banned... was just asking, out of curiosity if any other members could do it... shit I could get it done if I knew what specs to make the sleeve 2.

333i ... it came with the same suspension as any other e30, just with Alpina Springs, and Front Sway bar.

          Had Alpina's as std.

only our 325iS evo's came out with M3 suspension but with just over 500 built u can see how hard it is to get the struts.

Just a bit of an update... I've decieded to pursue this here in South Africa, with my race car.

Updates will follow as soon as my engineering shop gets it done.

Very cool. Im glad somebody is taking this somewhere.

What are you making it from? Will the OD be ground?

wait, i read somewhere that all you need to do is buy new hubs and brakes. will that work if i just put these on the back (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-e...spagenameZWD1V) and bought m3 front suspention

I'm not quite sure... I'm going to speak to my engineer sometime this week. I still need to go and buy some E28 hubs.

I'll leave it up to him... while I'm there I think I i must snap some pictures of the engine block he made for his Door Slammer... crazy, engineering on that thing.

Can someone remind me why a machine shop can re-drill/tap stock 4-lug hubs to 5 lugs? Not even do the rotor - just the one-time redrill of the hubs, then a spacer/adapter on the caliper for say e36 m3 binders???

I think that is what would be most cost effective.... no???

                    .....

Definitely not enough meat on the front hubs to redrill .
And not much room on the rears either .

Just pulled out a spair set of e30 struts, and yea, not enough to go from 100 base circle to 120mm - that would be cutting it close.

You could do it but it would be on the edge...if not past it.

                            NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                            You would need z3m axles.

Get regular e36 non m rear hubs. They bolt right up.

                              WRONG!!!
E36 rear hubs do not fit in the E30 TA's without some special bearing to take up the difference in size. I looked at it when we were doing a set of wheel bearings on an E36 and the E36 hub, without the use of a specially sized bearing, will not physically fit in the E30.
Easy way to do it: buy a set of rear hubs from the dealer for like 350 bucks and when you do the wheel bearings, just go a head and swap them in.
