Wow, I stand corrected. My apologies on the mis-information.

My question then is... what is the centerbore of the e30 m3 hub if the only the 4 lug stuff is 57.1?

      72.56

Like all other BMW 5 lug hubs except for the e39. I am not aware of any others being different

Ive looked into the redrill on the 16x8's, the centerbore is to big and doesnt leave any room for the lug holes.

Look how close the 5x120 holes are to the edge, and each 4x100 hole is going in towards the center 10mm.

I drew it up real quick, I dont have a e38 weave in front of me to get the exact dimensions of the lip around the centerbore but you get a good idea. Believe me, I would have already threw a set in the mill at work and been rollin around on them. If the centerbore wasnt so big this would be easily doable.

well, son-of-a-bitch. Keep a look out for some style 5's in the classifieds then.

                    that sucks

I've got a new approach: Shave some material off of the back of the weaves and use a 4 to 5 lug adaptor.

                      Any thoughts on this ?

3mm of space between two points of high stress concentration. Man, I don't know why people aren't doing this EVERYWHERE!?!?!:loco:

yeah, this idea has been abandoned.

And fuck it - the wheels are sick on e30's. Its just not gonna work on my car. No funds for a 5-lug swap.

Any offers for the e38 style 5's? I'll make a for sale post when I get pics.

I don't see anything wrong with using proper adapters for 4-5 stud, but you'd have to use a really high offset wheel. Grinding off this wheel just isn't a great idea.
