why? all you need is hubcentric rings since the centerbore is 74.1 or whatever. the offset is a little bit low, but if you roll your fenders and have correctly sized tires, you should be fine.
They wont fit unless you roll the living shit out of your fenders with strech tires. He is refurring to the 17in bbs style 5's. If it was the 16's I would say yeah they will fit but 17's will look horrible. Go ahead and ask mystical if they will fit.

remember the difference in offset is a matter of millimeters.
i am aware to what wheels he was referring. the fact of the matter is the diameter and width of 16x8 or 17x8 wheels with equal diameter tires are going to fit almost exactly the same in terms of the relationship between the fender and the tire. the 17 inch wheel would give you more clearance on the strut/shock side, though.
you would only need to "roll the living shit out of your fenders" if you are really low, and you do not need stretched tires to fit, either.
to the OP: if you really want the wheels, i say go for it. make sure you get tires that are the proper diameter, and remember you should also get hubcentric rings so the 74.1mm centerbore wheels will fit securely on the 72.56mm mounting points.
I still dont think they will fit right. Running these wheels on e36 suspension will look odd because of the gap you will need from fender to tire and you will have to roll your fenders so you arnt rubbing your on the fender all the time.

OP how low is your car?
i agree that looks-wise, a stock or only slightly lowered car will have a weird look with 17's, but that holds true for either 5-lug suspension, not just the e36 one.
if lowered enough, then yes, fender rolling will be required. maybe he can borrow your fender roller? :p
arent you running an E30 m3 front end, daniel? thats why you can fit et23 rims on your car. the rear is all the same for guys that have Z3 or Ti parts, right?
how do you guys go about rolling your rear quarterpanels? the front fenders just have a 90 degree bend in the metal but the rears have a complex bend on my car that seems really strong and ive heard of rollers breaking in half trying to bend these things

Stop spreading rumors, rear is just as easy to roll as the front, and there's nothing complex about it. You'll destroy your quarter panel way before any quality fender roller.

LOL
My eastwood roller rolled my rear lips flat in no time. Took longer to jack car up and put on stands and take the wheel off than it took to roll the lip. Must not be too hard... ;)
Stop listening to idiots who KNOW nothing of what they speak...

i have answered this question like 3 times in different threads started by you, and for the last time, yes i am running et23 wheels on an E36 5-lug setup.

I'll give him credit for one thing though...
No matter what 5-lug thread you open, you guaranteed to read the same answers over and over and over. Anyone with half a brain could make all this useful.
I really dont remember what setup everyone on here is running, there are many setup posts and i cant keep track of whos car is setup what way..(when i read answers to posts i dont really keep track of the name of the members, you all seem to have sigs with pics of grey E30s)
anyway i just figured since daniel was able to fit those rims on his car he had to be running something different since they didnt seem to work on mine
