    yea they were too big (the night i got the rear 5 lug done i tried pulling out of the shop with those and the quarterpanels were resting right on the tire!).
    but just the way that the rim stuck out past the body is what i didnt like when i did the test fit
    i never did try them on the front, i was thinkin of throwing some smaller tires on them and seeing how they fit up front. right now those wheels are on my buddies E36 coupe with the 225/50/16's and the height of the tire is ok but they just dont look right on the front. they stick out way too much. they look perfect on the rear though

      I think your only hope is extremely rolled lips and 205/40/17's. I broke my thumb recently but when my right hand is useful again I think I'm going to attempt a fender pull the way VW guys do it. The part of the fender that you roll flat with a roller, I'm gonna cut slots in it, then pry it outwards, bend/hammer the various "fingers" of metal to the shape I want, then weld in little pie shaped filler pieces, then an assload of grinding, some filler and it will either look really good or really bad! If really bad I can always cut them off and put flares.
