I cut mine off with a die grinder. Obviously ruined the factory "lollipops", but I replaced them with the treehouse cabs.

Ditto. One side was a bitch and the next side slid on with ease.Originally posted by m42technicI actually had a hell of a time getting one of mine to slide on...Originally posted by Skafroglook, you cant install the bushings the wrong way.
You can also slide them on/off with your pinky finger, so it wont matter if you happen to mess up the first time.

Jordan said he cut through that with a dremel.Originally posted by 808BMWYeah, we were thinking of torching it off. The problem isn't the big rubber bushing, it's the little metal ring thats on the controll arm, I thought it was rubber, but it isn't.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

are you putting in OEM or polyurethane bushings? if so, they have to be pressed in anyway, so there's no need to cut out that ring. the old bushing will be pressed out when you have the new ones pressed in.Originally posted by 808BMWYeah, we were thinking of torching it off. Well I'm out of cutoff wheels, and my car is up in the air on jackstands, so I guess I'll have to grab some later and cut em off.

I dunno, if you're not replacing the control arms cutting them off seems like too much work. with a torch, all you really need to do is get them hot, you don't have to burn out the bushing or anything. then they just slide right off..Comment
