    Sparco Strut Bar Not Fitting!

I just tried to install my new Sparco Front Strut Bar that i got from the group buy. The fuse box is in the way and preventing it from bolting up correctly. Is this supposed to happen and how should I fix it. I think that I can grind a notch in it so that I won't have to relocate the fuse box.

They look they they will hit the fuse box when you just line it up, but once you start bolting it down, just pull the bar into place. Most bars won't slip right on, mine had to be bent some to fit.(non sparco)

It will fit. Think creative and bend that throttle cable. There's not much more to say, but it does fit.

I think you're having the problem I had when I put my RD bar on. Nobody else had the problem, but it must be because you have the same year and model as me.

The problem I had was that the fuse box bolted to the top of the tower and was in the way. I just took a hack saw and cut a piece out of the plate part of the bar that mounts to the top of the tower. I wasn't able to bolt the fuse box back up to it, but there are so many wires going into it that it is secure enough without it.

Does the Sparco bar bolt up to 2 or all 3 bolts on the tower though? If it's just 2, you might not be able to do what I did without compromising the strength of the plate.

If that doesn't fix your problem, then your car was in a serious wreck which bent the strut tower severly. Sell your car.

                    Got it on!

I'll let it go, but I will let you know that it did not fit originally. Like the other guy said, there's something about my exact model year. I had to shave a notch about 1/4" in with a grinder so that the corner of the fuse box could fit in it. I don't think that it was enough to affect the structural integrity of the bar.

Dude matt, I had the same problem, but somehow, I did it. You can do it, and if you can't fit it, try jacking at least one side of the car near the front and try different lengths, an extra hand would help.
