Where to find quality rebuilt calipers?

    Hi all,

While piecing together parts for a caliper rebuild, I realized that there are not, to my knowledge, any replacement pistons for Girling front calipers.

    Any recommendations for rebuilt units?

Many seem to be backordered or of questionable quality.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ross

For 2002's and E9 Coupes I have used PMB with great success. Not cheap, but very thurough.

PMB Performance offers the finest Porsche brake caliper rebuilds. It started with a pair of Porsche 914 brake calipers and blossomed into the largest Porsche brake caliper restoration facility in the world. PMB is the most trusted names in aftermarket and genuine Porsche parts and Porsche restoration.

Guessing a bit here, but since the front seal kits are the same I would assume that they use the same piston, right? If not, pop a piston out, measure it carefully, and search for one on eBay.

Alternately, order something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-E30...2/333678361894

By the way, that listing shows a diagram of the piston at 48.1mm, and a similar ad from the same seller shows the ATE pistons as identical in their diagram.

Might just do that — thanks for the advice.
