    Made 2 new mounting brackets and made 4 of these: (2 spares)

    BEFORE:

    AFTER:

    11.75 x .81 w/ 4 piston -> 13 X 1.1 w/ 6 piston

    it actually cost me less to make my own kit even though it had bigger stuff...

      Wow, they look huge! My r32 had 13" rotors, talk about stopping power with good pads/fluid! I can't tell what car that is though?

        It's an E30 w/ a built skyline GTR motor in it.

              Nice work. But you could have reduce the weight of the rotor by using units with less friction surface (annulus) as it seems the pad is not scrubbing all the rotor. Use a rotor with a larger PCB - bigger hat, less friction ring. And as you now have bigger rotors, I am sure you could have positionned the caliper parallel to the mounting points. 8-)
              Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

                Good thinking about the mounting points, I didn't think of that. However, I couldn't go any thicker than 1.1, and 13" was my max rotor size, so that pretty much locked me into the 12 X 7.00 bolt circle.

                    Do you happen to know the weight difference between the massive kit and yours? Is the weight similar?

                      not sure how much of an upgrade it is.. more weight, seems to be same swept area by the piston or even less? maybe it's the pictures..

                        The swept area is increased by 15%

                        Stationary weight probably the same or less, rotating weight increased by 6lbs, though...

                        The rotor i basically had to use was 14.5 lbs. If I could have jumped to a 1.25 thick rotor, I could have cut it to 12.5 lbs, but was unable to do so, because it would require either 500 dollar calipers or more wheel spacer...
