    how to check rotors?

My brake lining light is on, so I need to replace pads.

Do I need to replace my rotors? How can I check to see if they're still good or not? I'd rather save some money if I can, then buying something I don't necessarily need.

The rotors need to be replaced when they are worn close to or below the wear limit documented in the Bentley or TIS. Allowable wear is 2mm, or one 1mm per side. A simple check is to compare the ridge at the edge of the rotor with the thickness of a worn dime, which is close to 1mm.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
