So ive pieced together all the parts i need for my rx7 brake upgrade.
Heres a rundown on the cost and parts that i picked up.
RX-7 fc3s calipers - 21$ used @ local pullapart.
RX-7 brake pads - ~60$ off ebay. hawk hps
adapter braket - 9$ cost of the tap for 12x1.5 already had the material
Corrado G60 front brake rotors - free, had them lying around from my vw days
Brake line adapter - free @ local pullapart, come from any volvo around 1987ish.
all and all im in this for 90$. its not bad all things considered, expect the price to go up considerably if you cant source or make the parts yourself.
All in all pulling together the parts wasnt hard. I do have a drill press and the ability to make my own adapters. the major cost of all of this for me were the pads, mostly because i love going to local yards for treasure. I am going to test fit everything hopefully tommrow and see if i will need to do any adjustments. I still need to bore out the centers of the rotors. i have a little drum sander im planning on using. 1mm isnt a huge deal, so it shouldnt be a problem.
Im planning on using the stock brake lines, i will upgrade to stainless in the future. Also, i pulled a master cylinder from a e32 735i that i might add if i feel i would like a firmer pedal after the major components get installed and working.
Heres a shitty cell pic. If you have any questions, just ask.
