Probably no issue with a 16x8 et20? The hub is pretty deep on the wheel to get that offset.

Looks like a quality product. I would love to knock 4lbs of unsprung mass off each wheel, get better breaking and still be able to use 15" wheels. When it comes time to get brakes for my e30, I will be looking your way.
A rear kit would be nice to see as well.

The fitment template has just been added to our website, see the .pdf download link in the FAQ section of this page:

I've already done a bit of the hard work for you...
As expected, there is a lot more clearance compared to a Superlite with the 1.25" rotor (same 11.75" / 298mm diameter). Also, the Superlite kit's rotor is moved inboard a few millimeters (probably <5mm), but looks like it would require the heat shields to be removed.

Interestingly enough, compared to a Dynapro with a smaller 280mm modified Volkswagen Corrado rotor, clearance is still a little better outboard toward the spokes with the UUC caliper, and total radial (caliper radial profile changes as view goes around) is very similar:

Hope this helps!- Rob Levinson * UUC Motorwerks * 678-679-5360 * http://www.uucmotorwerks.com * rob@shortshifter.com

awesome, i will confirm fitment with the popular TRM 15x8 wheel tonight.
also, maybe give credit to massive for the fitment diagrams you took from his website ;)90 E30 325iComment

I don't think that Rob would intentionally misinform potential customers, but strange things happen when Rob mentions "facts". Like Rob using the wrong template, the one of the thicker 1.25" kit to try to make a point. So, let's compare bananas and bananas and use the appropriate template, the one for the 11.75" x 0.81" kit, same size rotor as Rob is using. Then results would be different. Yes Rob. I offer different kits. Not one-size-fits-all. And different pistons sizes too...

The amount of extra width of the Superlite caliper would be only 8,5mm, not 20mm as the "tweaked" demonstration seems to imply. ;-)Last edited by Massive Lee; 03-17-2010, 12:19 PM.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

i can confirm lee's diagram, this is the exact result i got when i compared lee's sport kit with UUC's new kit, not what Rob posted above. the profile is different, and until i put both of them to my wheels, im not sure which provides better clearance.I don't think that Rob would intentionally misinform potential customers, but strange things happen when Rob mentions "facts". one thing is clear, the UUC kit does not provide tons more radial clearance that was initially suggested. but it does provide that small little 1x0.5cm of extra clearance at a critical spot. might just be enough (can't forget about wheel balancing weights!)
lee, where exactly did you suggest trimming the superlite caliper to provide clearance for the TRM 15x8 wheel?90 E30 325iComment

Funny thing happens when Lee forgets what he's written previously:Strange things happen when Rob mentions "facts". Like Rob using the wrong template, the one of the thicker 1.25" kit to try to make a point. So, why not use the appropriate template, the one for the 11.75" x 0.81" kit, same size rotor as Rob is using? Then results would be totally different.
Addressing that, the proof is in the comparison diagram. The UUC hat is not flat (#1 mistake), UUC's rotor face is further inboard (#2 mistake), and it's physically impossible for your rotor to be inboard 13mm more (#3 mistake) when there is only 8mm between UUC's rotor and the tie rod.Originally posted by Massive LeeThat new kit's hat is flat and brings the outer face of the rotor even further out than Massive's thicker Race kit with a whopping 11.75" x 1.25" disc. Meaning that Massive's Sport kit (below UUC's) which uses a disc of the same 11.75" x 0.81" dimension is at least (32mm - 21mm) 11mm more inward (I think it is more like 13mm).
All facts. Indisputable facts.
To put it bluntly, Lee, you are making things up and are outright wrong.
You've been wrong about a lot of assumptions about our kit, a lot of your general facts, and it's all been in an atmosphere of unsolicited attack.
... and your potential customers are seeing this behavior. Please continue!
Since you bring it up, what's wrong with Lee's kits?
1) Excessive front bias. Cars nosedive, not using rear brakes.
2) Excessively heavy front rotors. "Massive" rotors do not have cooling benefits that are worth the weight, which negatively affects vehicle dynamics in acceleration and steering response.
3) Massive spacers required.
It's 20mm as the example you brought up with your "magic" 13mm ("you think") rotor offset that puts it within the steering knuckle ball joint.
More made up numbers, I suppose? Or maybe facts that I verified.
Are your fitment diagrams really only showing a profile and not a full radial sweep?
