Sooo.. i go to fix my ABS..

Well, i figured out my ABS wasn't working on the front wheels, because 1 sensor was unplugged, and 1 was missing. I got some sensors off a junkyard E30, and i jacked mine up to throw them on.

What the fuck? There's no slot for the ABS sensor. However, right where there should be, there is a flat, raised surface in the exact shape of the ABS sensor flange thing.

This makes no sense, the only possible thing i could think of is that the car was in a major front end collision requiring the replacement of both front strut tubes.

Can anyone tell me where the part numbers are on the housing so i can look them up (Or any identifying marks).

no idea, but the guy prolly did his own repairs and pulled them off an e30 without abs.

you only have 1 abs sensor per end of the car.

      drivers front, passenger rear.

no, you have an abs sensore on each brake, you have 1 brake sensor on each end of the car, those tell you when your pads where out, they're usless.

          no you dont.

          2 abs sensors per car.
          as stated above.

E30's are archaic automobiles. one per end, not like new cars with 4 independent abs sensors.

and you also only have 2 brake pad wear sensors.

            Are you absolutely sure?
On the e30's I've worked on with ABS there has been a sensor on both sides up front, and the ETK comes up with both a left and right side sensor.
That's for the front at least, I've never had to deal with the rear ABS, nor am I even sure if e30's have rear ABS.

It's almost like it's an aftermarket piece... Because the raised portion is right where the ABS sensors go, just flat with no holes... the pre-ABS cars don't have the raised portion, i'm pretty sure. I'll try and take a picture sometime this week.

                        You still have this problem?

I just pulled my strut housings off and they have the openings for the sensors.
