in the picture above, the aluminum sleeve is not supposed to come out of the rubber bushing, they should drop off the car together. however, the main problem is that the sleeve seized to the chassis where they overlap.

Well, I dropped my subframe a few days ago and was lucky enough that the driver's side dropped out fine after threading a 5/8" lag bolt up into the bottom of the bushing, inserting a foot long 3/8 drive extension and pounding from inside. The passenger side however, is not cooperating. The bushing came apart and the sleeve section is still attached. I've been hammering away after soaking repeatedly with PB Blaster, but it still won't budge. Should I try and chisel at it from the bottom between the big washer and the body or am I risking damage to the opening? Is there a way to use a puller and get it loose?

Success! I got underneath and gave it some more PB Blaster, used my long crowbar to pry between the washer and the body rail a few times--firmly, but not really cranking--then commenced to pound the shit out of it from inside and Voila!

looks like you had the exact same problem as me Trent! One side: piece of cake, the other side: FML.

          good work.
