OEM rotor replacements: best / cheapest

I was thinking of ordering ATE blank replacement discs (not grooved) and someone said something about brembos.

any difference or recommendations? just trying to "upgrade" from my rusty old units.

Brembo and ATE are both OE for the fronts, its pretty much up to you. ATE is the more popular and easier to come by brand for stock though.

I just got the Balo replacement rotors. I believe I got em at bimmerparts.com for about $38 each. Good rotors IMO.

alright, someone was making it sound like one was superior.

eap4parts has the best deal on rotors I think, and I probably will go with bimmerworld for their hawk pads. But I'll try one more vendor before that, as well as BMA to see what I can get.

I have the Brembo ones, they are nice, but I am sure Balo, ATE, Brembo are all the same. Don't worry about it.

              Brembo's box looks the coolest.

I just did Brembo all the way around. I am very happy with them so far. I have heard Balo is better, but it is also more expensive. BMA carries both. Go through BMA and use the specE30 code it will give you 5% off and you will end up with free shipping (very nice cause of the weight of rortors).

Balo's are still OE, but they are kinda borderline in my opinion. This doesn't apply to E30s, but on the newer cars with deep rotor hats balo is the only OE supplier that doesnt paint the hats so they always rust right away. The price is usually a bit lower on Balo too.
