Stopping brake squeel?

I redid my rotors/brakes about 10k miles ago.. sensors too.. (senosors works great for about 1-1.5k miles and then they tripped :-/

Since i did them theyve still squeeked.. it didn't used to be too bad and i thought it would go away.. but its just gotten worse and worse (and some what balanced out to the same annoyance of squeeking the last5k miles.. )

What could be causing the squeek? DrkWng just did his rotors and brakes and isn't having a squeeking problem at all..

Squeeking is a vibration between the pad and the caliper, it's happening so rapidly that it sounds like a squeek. You can goto pepboys/autozone/etc. and grab a anti-squeel kit which is usually a gel or rubber like pad that goes behind the pad.

would there be any issues if I just took like a rubber washer and put it behind it?

Out of curiosity what pads and rotors are you running?

You can also use an anti-squeal on the pad surface in addition to the backing plate. It's a black liquid that you soak into the pad for a few minutes and it helps prevent squealing. We get ours from the Mercedes dealer (it's called Stop Squeal, or something like that) but I think local auto stores sell it too.

If you didn't bed the pads/rotors correctly, they can also make noise later on.

Ate rotors and Pagid pads.

Try to see if it is coming from all 4 or just 1 or 2. If it is coming from all 4 do the anti squeel stuff, but if it is only 1 or 2 try reinstalling them and see if it is how they were sitting.

Also, i over heard someone say that if your pad sensors have been broken it can cause it too.. Is there any merit to that? anyone?

Pad sensors don't cause squeaking.
