    Control Arm Bushings

The puller. Where the hell do I get one of these things? Do I absolutely need it? My Dad doesn't have one in his extensive collection of tools. Could I make a makeshift one?
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

Getting the CABs off from the control arm? Or getting the CABs off the bracket?

For the latter, you could probably get away with placing the new one on top and hammering it in, or pressing it in. (not with direct contact, but with something in between as not to destroy you new cabs).

Pullers are sold in any good tool shop or automovtive equipement stores (at least up here in Canada). I don't think it's an absolute necessity to have a puller to take it off the control arm though. It can be done, just much much harder.

$20 at a shop and I had my new ones in. to get them out I used a hacksaw, but the shop could just as easily press them out when the put the new ones in.

Well, I might as well take off the entire CA assembly and just have the shop do the rest. It just seems a whole lot easier.

Now to find the self-locking nuts...

Same here, the machine shop here pressed the old, knackered ones of the brackets, and put the new ones in for $21.
