    e-brake help

Just picked up an E30 and the e-brake is stuck in the down position. If you try to pull up on the handle its pretty stuck and doesn't really move at all. It kinda looks like the release button is jammed way back in there.

what would cause it to stick like that? Part of the release mechanism? Stuck cables?

I haven't really checked anything yet, just looking for a place to start. Sucks having to park in gear all the time.

    Thanks!

Pull the cover off the parking brake handle and loosen the adjuster nuts all the way. If the handle then moves the cause of the problem will be in the cables or mechanism. In that case you need to pull the rear rotors, remove the parking brake mechanism and see if the cables are the problem.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
