broken control arm removal

    broken control arm removal

    Ok, I removed all of the bolts, but i can't get the darn thing off.....in my accident, the control arm basically got bent up real bad and is smashed towards itself. Any tips for getting this things removed....

    From what I've seen, they normally don't come off without a fight. Grab the end of one of the sides and pull it down as hard as you can. This will cause the other end of the arm to swing up, hitting the body. Do this a few times and it will hopefully loosen.

      you need some sort of penetrating oil, and heat. also, do you have access to the inner ball joints from the top? I used some extensions and the socket and knocked mine out from the top.
