Thanks for the excellent pictures and reply "fporro"! "Yahh" are doing wide lips on your 003's also? I am going to do 8.5 front and 9 in the rear. I don't want to run a spacer with this set up. 8.5 et6 is going to be super flush as it is.

    You're welcome, stopping power it's right on, get a 25mm M/C from a 750i or e30 m3 and a bias valve for them,
also steel lines all around including clutch.

    here's Hartges monoblock 16x7 et24,
I think just about every multi piece 16 inch wheel will hit front calipers as is the back of bolts that contact it.

just picked up some SSR Mesh 16x7 et24 on 4x100's and they do hit as well.

here's 15mm H&R spacer i use, both front and rear to keep things balanced, rears do not need it... http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/album.php?albumid=4178

Thanks for the quick reply! That would put me at 16x8.5 et 0 with the spacers. How much stopping difference do you feel?

yes they are 003's 16x7 et25, you'll need spacers, at least 6mm's for bolts not to hit front calipers.

    here's a better pic, there's 2 x 3mm spacers in there, eventually went with 15mm H&R hub centric units... http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/album.php?albumid=7555

    fronts

    rears

thre's defenetly an improvement over oem based on stopping distance.
then again i'm runing heavy 17" and never took the time to actually measure distance.

oem 14's onto oem tires weight 34 lbs.
    found a 17 rim with 205 40 that came in at 36
but i'm running 215/45 and they are 8 lbs heavier than oem.
maybe there a number cruncher out there that can come up with the formula for inertia x whatever

can someone with cabrio and oem brakes post stopping distances from 60 to 0 and perhaps a bit higher speeds too ?
not parking lot but on actual paved road please.

I'll take it to my local deserted canyon and measure what i get.

I second that question. How is the improvement over a modded stock setup? Is it worth the $1000.00 for a new IE BBK setup?
