So i plan on switching my front 318i rotors to the vented 325e rotors in the front. Its my understanding that i pretty much just need the calipers rotors and pads to make it work. I also heard that the master cylinder in the 318i has a smaller bore than the 325e's. so my question is if i justs keep my 318i master cylinder will it affect my braking? any help is appreciated.

m/c works fine. I'm running full 325i brakes (including the rear discs) with no issues on my early 318i.Stage rally/rallycross e30 build/competition journal

Just make sure you have the 20mm master. According to realoem, you should.
That also went onto earlier 325's...
Measure the bore on the calipers. I'd be a bit surprised if they aren't both 48mm...
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george gravesComment

318 master works, yes, barely. When I converted my 84 318i to rear disc and 325 brakes it was pathetic. 318 uses a stepped 19mm/??mm master for the rear drum. I went to a 23 mm master and what a difference.Comment
