I am running Euroweaves(et24) ATM, which will most likely require a 10-15mm spacer to clear the RX7 calipers, making an effective ET of 14-11. As I understand it, there is more of an issue with the barrel clearing, as it gets smaller towards the spokes, than the rear of the spokes clearing due to the width of the caliper.
So, I have been thinking about doing iX weaves for a while but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them and the RX7 calipers. iX weaves are pretty damn rare over here in Germany whereas I trip on Euroweaves walking to the bakery. I can't even find one to experiment with. So ASSUMING the barrel on the et24's already sits that much further out(17mm!!!) than the iX's(et41), then I would need to run maybe a minimum of 20-25mm to clear??
That sounds like alot....input please???
And if it works, I am looking for a set of clean, straight iX weaves. Possibly to work a trade for some Euroweaves.
EDIT:
I mocked-up one of my extra Euroweaves over the rx7 calipers I recieved the other day.
I stacked up a bunch of washers to get an idea of how thick a spacer I would need.

The washers measured out to be 0.55", which multiplied by 25.4mm/in comes out to 13.97mm. With this setup, I was just able to squeeze a 4mm allen wrench between the(unmodified) nub on the caliper and the wheel.
I may be able to get away with 10mm if I can grind the nub a bit and a washer between the caliper and adapter bracket. I'm tyring to keep the extra track to a minimum, b/c I want to space the rear the same amount.
