Control Arm Bushings?

    Control Arm Bushings?

    So the two bushings on both my control arms are shot but the control arms appear fine. It's been said that replacing those bushings and not the control arms is possible but I cannot find the bushings anywhere.

    BAV auto appears to have what may be those bushings but I don't know for sure.

    In case anyone is lost it's the two bushings in the picture


    Anyone know where to get these?

    those are called Ball joints. By the time you buy them, and pay a shop to press them in properly, they will cost you more than new control arms. Lemfoerder sell for <$100 per side, with new ball-joints.

        Control arm bushing is the bottom of the picture. It slides onto the control arm. Yould replace those too while your at it

          Yeah, those still look good, PO replaced with M3 offset bushings so they are newer, but I'll feel em up and see

            The control arms don't wear, but the ball joints do. Which is why you replace the control arms. In the general case, when replacing the control arms you also need to replace the tie rods, upper strut bearings, and control arm bushings.
            The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

                Would there be any reason to get the M3 offset c-arm bushings instead of the regular?

                Would there be any problems doing this?

                  offset bushings = more caster for higher speed stability, it will make it a little harder to turn at low speeds
                  1991 318is --- currently not road worthy
