    Brake pads don't fit!!!

So I bought new brake pads and rotors off of turnermotorsport but the brake pads won't fit. I have compressed the piston of the calipers and I have opened the brake fluid. I bolted the caliper bracket on, put the brake pads on the tried to fit the brake caliper over but it doesn't fit the pads properly. If there is anything I'm doing wrong I would sure love some help. Thanks

Whats the part number on the pads? maybe they sent you the wrong ones. Check the shape compared to the old pads.

And get a front picture of rotor and pads.

The new brake pads look identical to the old brake pads

There are two anti rattle springs pushing against the caliper as you are trying to push it on. I prefer to assemble the caliper to the caliper carrier first and then install as a unit. This allows you to install one pad at a time. Also, your caliper piston will retract further than is shown in the pic.

            This^^

Also... did you remove and lubricate your caliper slides? Make sure they are moving freely so you can push them in enough to get the caliper lined up properly.

              Try retracting the piston further

If you "opened the brake fluid" I would highly recommend bleeding your brakes.

Should do it once a year anyway. Isn't the Reservoir cap vented to air though?

The retaining spring needs to be spread out a little, this forces the pad down into to the bracket.

                      Then install the caliper.

See the spring should be pushing down here, but it isn't.

You are correct good sir, otherwise hyd fluid would not be able to vacate the reservoir and move down to the calipers when the pads wear, just like a finger on the top of a straw full of fluid.
The exception to this rule are M/Cs that have folded up bladders under the cap that are sealed to the M/C but open to the atmo on the top side of the bladder.

Did you get this "spring thing" straightened out? It will cause problems soon, if not now.
