Trying to find Hawk DTC 70 for the rear but only seeing them for "e30 M3".

      Crap thanks.

Was hoping to run DTC 70s rear and DTC 60s front to make up for the E30's inherent front brake bias.

Does the car have ABS? If it does increasing rear bite may turn out to be the wrong thing to do because of how the ABS behaves. More rear bite can cause slippage of the rear wheels and cause the ABS to go into "ice mode". When that happens the brake pedal will get really hard as the ABS limits braking pressure. You don't want to have that happen...

I have this problem and have had to learn to stay just off the "ice mode" threshold, which I can manage to do most of the time. On the next pad changes I'll use PFC01 pads in the front and PFC08 pads in the rear to slightly decrease rear bite. That should make it easier to avoid "ice mode".

If you aren't experiencing "ice mode" with the same pads all around and you are getting into ABS, you could have a bad bias valve or a bad master cylinder.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Actually, the E30's front-to-rear's just about right with a mc that has equal bores.
(the ABS one does not, and puts a lot more pressure (relatively) to the rears)

It maths out to something like 68/32. Before the bias adjuster. If you can run an aftermarket
adjuster instead of the stock one, that might just do it.
