RX7 Brake Kit w/ Corrado Rotors?

When I was test fitting my RX7 brake setup I noticed that the rotors were loose even with the wheels mounted. Is there a spacer that is supposed to go in between the rotor and the hub? I'm afraid that the rotors will wear unevenly if they aren't solidly mounted on the hub. I have searched quite a bit to try and find the answer, but haven't found anyone else with this concern...

The center bore had plenty of room over the hub...

yah but the hub on most bmw tapers outward at the base. if you look at any rotor or spacer they are beveled.

There are two bores. The one for the wheel and one for the rotor. If you didn't get the rotors machined then it won't work.

I bought the kit from Monkeyman and he said the rotors were milled out. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=294247

Ok. Then sometimes if your wheels don't have a big enough chamfer in the back They may not fully seat on the brakes because the corrado rotors are thinner. That's why the massive kits include a 1mm rotor spacer.

I am running adapters with this kit as well. Would that affect them? Turner Motorsports 4x100 to 5x120 30mm

Check the adapters and make sure they tighten down to the rotor face fully.

Adapters were flush on the wheel center bore

Ok so when I got home I forgot that I had some front struts lying around, so I test fit the rotors again.

The center bore is definitely shaved 1mm.

Mounted with Adaptec adapters there is >1mm gap between the rotor and the adapter.

Then I remembered my brother has 8380 adapters lying around and they have a tapered center bore. Adaptec on the left, 8380 on the right.

8380 adapters mounted have <1mm gap between the adapter and the rotor. I would feel alot better mounting these with the Corrado rotors.

I am going to contact Adaptec and see if they can taper the center bore to fit the E30 better. Need to get a little thicker adapters for my stance anyways.

Shouldn't even be .5mm between rotor and adapters, with the adapter bolted onto the hub, it should be putting 80ft/lbs against the rotor surface against the hub.

Thanks golde30, I'm gonna see if I can track down a 1mm rotor spacer then. The adapters were put on very tight to test fitment on rotor.
