    parking brake opitions?

doing a 5 lug conversion, I have all the needed parking brake parts but I never really cared for the design. Are there any viable parking brake opitions out there?

What's wrong with stock? For a "parking brake" they work good.

Carry a section of a 4x4 in your car to chalk your wheel.

I carry a 25lb dumbbell in my trunk as a parking break.

I just a dislike for the whole drum brake inside a disc idea. I know its functional and streamline. Heck it works just fine in my e46 and worked fine in my e21.
Perhaps its just that its not self adjusting, or that checking the pads is cumbersome, or perhaps having to completely disassemble them to change out a wheel bearing is a pain...
I don't know, I was just thinking if there was something else out there, perhaps someone on the forum would have heard of it...

              thats it...nothing sinister

Make a bracket and install a secondary caliper for a hydraulic ebrake then!

The one thing I don't like about the factory e-brake setup is that the shoes are held in by those spring/allen bolts. The damn backing plate rusts out and thats it... no more parking brake for you!
