So I got the BJs pressed out and went to position the bearing case... and it slid in, with slight pressure, by hand about 95% of the way. Initially I thought this was 100% and was like... 'da fuq' and hit it with a socket a few times. Installed the arm on the car - as soon as the BJ got a bit of pressure the case would pop out. Pulled it back off and tried putting it in the press - turns out 100% was 90-95. Broke the little 'ridge' on the sleeve by pressing a bit too far, but goddamn that bitch is in there now. Installed the arm again, put the car on the ground and jumped on the diving board a few times with a friend (about 350ish lbs total). No movement from the sleeve.
The angle... the difference is insane. Didn't get an exact measurement, but it looks like my 16x8 et0's have about 1/4-1/2" before hitting the arm. It was dark in the garage, I'll take a measurement tomorrow.Leave a comment:

Just got my super drifto 1/2 kit in today, gonna start working on it in a little while.
This is the one where you remove the stock outer BJs and install the BJ sleeve supplied by SLR. The only thing I'm not sure of is how to install the sleeve. The adapters came in with the sleeves installed with the ridge down, as in you'd press the sleeve in from the bottom of the control arm. My question is that should it press in from the top of the control arm? So that it can't potentially fall out? There's no groove or anything for a snap ring.Leave a comment:

That top mount is kinda sketchy anyway. Based off of what I saw when installing my camber plates the wisefab top mount won't work with stock struts anyway. I think they were made with a smaller diameter spring/coilover setup in mind.... that's the only way I can see them working anywayLeave a comment:

The wise fab does relocate the top mount to help camber.
2 problems I've seen,
First, it's not legal.
Second, I've seen guys with issues with the strut hitting the inner fender area due to the relocation and having to lower the top further down to clear things.

I ordered the half kit (no arms) from him a few weeks ago, waiting for it to come in. Just hope that it comes in soon - first event of the year coming up on the 29th.
BTW, the half kit is great if you've already got e46 arms - comes with everything to make you go 'super dorifto' for $550. pretty reasonable imo.Leave a comment:

SLR in my opinion is a nicer kit. They have to use a strut relocater because of all the extra track the kit gives you. I personally like the slr kit because you can still use aftermarket top hats ( camber adjustable ) and still have usable angle. Sean love the person that designs these kits its very knowledgeable. Id suggest emailing him.

SLR angle kit
Hey bros,
Trying to get some input on SLRs' angle kit for the e30. I've seen wisefabs' angle kit on cars before and how the camber gets so extreme that they have to include a "strut relocater" in the kit to correct it.
Just wondering if the SLR kit is the same way or what... not as much info on the web about theirs.Tags: None
