manual brakes are fine day to day, much more control over them if you dont have abs, i actually prefered the feel of no servo and didnt feel i lost any braking power

Manual brakes are fine, I don't understand why you guys feel like they are a death trap. Like Adam said many people find them easier to modulate. Also they are more adjustable to get the brake pedal in just the right position.

ah, very nice. I'm about to do the toyota 4x4 calipers and 300 rotors, and i have a kit to use 240sx calipers in back.

              why'd you sell it?

When I bought my 87 IS for 700 it have a cracked head... well had it towed and the stupid tow truck driver rear ended me on a freeway off ramp..

Smashed the tiny back all in.... it was the saddest thing ever..
It still ran and drove fine so I drove it till I got the new engine in the BMW then gave it back to the man who gave it to me... I used to race a SCCA ITC league 510. The man I raced for Gave me the car when I was only 17 for free.

What about master cyl size? or is it just 1-1/16th?

Also what about pedal ratio doesn´t that need to be changed?
If you have this whats the brake feel like?

                  Thanks

This would require a complete re-design of the master cylinder side of things, no? Why would you need to make any changes in the calipers?

changing the calipers is not needed,
Also the manual setup í found would set one back about $400 or so

gunni- if it helps here is the setup I made for my 2002. Dont ask me how it feels because my car is still stripped waiting for resto $$$. I think I might have to play around with the lever lengths though.

I've got factory manual brakes in my MG and they'll lock all 4 wheels at 40+ no problem. All power brakes do is assist you in pushing on the brakes. It's like power steering, it's only assisting you in turning the wheel.
