Brake fluid leaking just replace Grommet

So I had to add brake fluid to the e30 and figured brakes were getting worn but its low again I think its leaking where the master cylinder meets the reservoir considering a new master with reservoir is $300 can I just replace the gromets for $5 instead

If it is leaking because of worn out grommets, then replacing the grommets is a fantastic idea.

Yup, had the same issue before. The grommets are easily changed.

I would replace or rebuild the master. That grommet is not meant to seal fluid inside the master. If there is fluid there it's because the fluid is leaking past piston/seal inside the master.

He said it's leaking where the master meets the reservoir. This is not a sign of a bad master cylinder at all. It's a sign of bad grommets. Easy and cheap fix. If there was brake fluid going in to the booster I'd be worried though.

D'oh, ready comprehension owns me. I was thinking about booster deletes and the seal between master/Booster.
