    325ix hydraulic brake?

Would using a hydro brake on an 1989 325ix mess with the transfer case/differential? Tempted to try one out.

    could be scary

well if your Tcase and rear diff VC's are good you will definately get some front braking when applying the rear hydraulic handbrake that would definately unbalance the car to the point of possibly being dangerous if one front wheel locks and it causes bad understeer

I just changed the handbrake cables on my iX. I had pretty similar thoughts when I discovered that everything was rusted solid right about everywhere. Had to drill the cable tubes open.

But to answer the question, if you're planning on using it in a drifting/driftish manner, you'll likely cook the viscous coupler in a jiffy.

        Sounds like a bad idea.
