parking brake cable issue

I have something partially blocking the passenger side tube. I can get a fish tape in there and all the way through but the fitting on the end of the new parking brake cable won't go in. I need to figure out what I can use to push whatever it is through the tube. I've tried several things that worked in the past but unfortunately they both broke leaving some metal rod sections in the tube. Any ideas? I'd like to work from the top since the obstruction is about 6" from the back end.

you might be better off trying to push the obstruction toward the front of the car. The bends in the tubes might be too short for your pieces of metal rod to pass through
