Just remove the sensors by removing the 5mm allen screw holding them in, and brush off the accumulated junk on them, and put them back in.

you just need an allen key, unscrew them, pull them out(hope they come out easily, and wipe them off. I really doubt it will help though, It is an electro magnet, and some dust on them isnt going to affect anything. But if your lucky, something could be cought up in there.
clean them off with a rag, and some brake cleaner.

Drive fast on the road and slam on the brakes. If they lock up then it does not work. If they pulse, then you are good to go.

I believe the ABS sensor is a Hall Effect sensor. The tone wheel built into the hub of your car passes by the sensor and creates a small scale voltage. You may be able to detect this voltage using a small voltmeter capable of measuring millivolts.

Just hook the voltmeter to the terminals of the sensor and move the hub back and forth. There should be an indicated voltage. If not, it's either dead or you need to try a different set of terminals. I'm not sure how many pins there are on the ABS sensor.

sounds like you may have some junk stuck in a brake line possibly......
