    Massive Brakes for E30

Well I bit the bullet and have ordered the street kit for my E30 from Massive Brakes! So far, the correspondence with Lee has been clear and quick. I ordered the complete kit including hats, lines, Wilwood Superlite calipers and rotors. I can't wait! I will provide pics when I recieve them and give guys the review on installation and performance. Stay posted!

Whoo hoo! Lee recieved my payment yesterday and this morning I got the installation kit! Really fast shipping. Everything was safely packed inside. So far I got the hats, stainless lines and the caliper brackets with all the fasteners. Just waiting for the Wilwood parts.... probably next week. I put the pics on when I get the rotors and calipers.

Why don't you post a few shots of what you received yet? I am so close to our products that I barely "see" them. I would find refreshing that others take pictures. Especially that I did not take much time peeking at the hats. I shipped them almost as soon as I received them. He, he.

BTW I spent the whole day "un-earthing" an old project I made 3 years ago. A kit for Mitsubishis Evo 8 using stock sized two-piece Wilwood rotors. I made two kits, then, for friends, using custom Coleman rotors. You may wonder why people would pay for a stock sized kit. Well, Evo 8 rotors are extremely expensive at the dealership. So, I designed a kit to replace the heavy one-piece discs with a lighter two-piece kit. Each time rotors are changed, you get to save $200usd. So, after two changes, you are back on your money. Also, the two-piece kits are lighter (less unspprung weight) and transfer less heat to the hubs, saving the bearings from melting down... and they look uber kool.

OK guys, here are the pics! I got the installation kit and got all the components from Wilwood. Lee did a great job with both the communication and packaging. I got all the items as ordered and it looks to be in great quality. All stainless steel or aluminum and all the fasteners look like they have been treated to prevent rust or corrosion. Next pics, the installation!

I paid exactly what was on his website. It was just under $1000 US for all the stuff. I can't remember what the amount was, but he is trustworthy. I sent him the Money Order and he shipped as promised.

Hahaha! I'll pack it back in the original boxes and ship them tomorrow. I'll ship it Fed EX and label them to look for a guy in stained wife beaters and pink boxers. Wait outside. It'll come soon.

Nice brakes. I am seriously considering this when BBK time comes except for I will have a little something extra with mine. ;)

Does anybody run this BBK with Rota 15x8 wheels ? I just want to make sure they fit OK over the brakes/calipers before I order the wheels. I am deciding between 15x8 et20 or 16x8 et20 and would rather not go with 16s unless 15s just don't clear them.

                            Thank you!!!

The full race kit is indeed a bit more touchy to fit. It is very wide and only a handfull of wheels will work. On the other hand, the sport kit needs 11mm less room on the outside, plus another 7mm if you elect to use the narrower NDL calipers instead of the Superlite calipers.

If anyone had a Rota Slipstream wheel, then downloading the appropriate profiles from the website would be the best way to make sure the kits and wheels are a proper fit.
