    Control Arms. i need answers

e30 325i coupe. i want to get a stiffer steering feelings when i drive. i am looking to buy aluminum control arms..is that a good idea or just stick with stock.

also is there any other bolt on swap. say maybe an e30m3 aluminum control arm or e36s (if they have aluminum)????

e30 m3 is the model that had the aluminum control arms. THe aluminum arms will not give you a stiffer steering feeling though. And at 260 a side, not really a cheap upgrade. Stick with stock steel ones, get new ones, and new tierods, and some m3 poly control arm bushings.

    edit-
You could also go with the treehouse units, or the ground control ones even.

Using M3 bushings in the lollipop will add more caster and that will make the steering feel slightly harder to turn.

Like Curt said, M3 control arms are totally unecessary. Get new OEM M3 control arm bushings. People greatly underestimate the stiffness of new rubber bushings. 20 year old rubber feels like mush.

I would also check and replace your front upper strut mounts/bearings (one piece). I just did mine along with the M3 CABs, and my front end was transformed.

Whats the difference between the M3 CABs, the CAB with a bracket (on bavauto) and the Treehouse Racing CABs?? What are the advantages of each? and the reason for the huge price difference? thanks
