    Rotor Question

For an E30, do the rotors need to be changed every time the pads are changed (as is the case with modern bimmers). I have the Turner brake kit which consists of Turner's drilled rotors and Axxis Ultimates - both were new and installed at the same time. A brief visual inspection leads me to believe the rotors are fine, but will new pads and older rotors equal warped rotors?

It is perfectly okay to change pads and keep the rotors, as long as the rotors are not getting too thin and are still in good shape. It will obviously take a bit of time before the new pads are properly bedded with the old rotors. Every rotor has a "print" made by small grooves. The pattern must be transmitted unto the pad before you get 100% perfect mating.

You will not warp the rotors, if they are within thickness specs.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
