Urethane Rear Bushings: IE vs Powerflex vs ???

So I'm going to be buying new bushings for the rear very soon. I don't ever want to do this again (not that I'll own the car for another 100k but whatev).

I'm looking at going Urethane... that is unless any one convincingly steers me away from it.

My question is: Which brand is best?

I'm doing the subframe and trailing arms. I've pretty much decided on the Ireland ones for the trailing arms due to the price (~1/3 of the Powerflex).

I'm thinking the urethane street bushings that IE makes for the subframe. Any one have experience with these?

*On a side note, does any one have experience with the IE urethane tranny and motor mounts?

I liked my IE trailing arm bushings (black) they held up great.

The opposite applies to the green IE street subframe bushings. Mine were pretty deformed and beat up after not alot of miles. I would not buy those again.

I have IE trailing arm bushings. Get the PowerFlex ones.
My IE bushings are red (if that even makes a difference). The squeak like crazy, even after taking them out, greasing them up, and reinstalling them, they still squeak.
I've got PowerFlex bushings everywhere else though and they haven't given me any trouble and are silent.
Another option that you may want to look at are the AKG bushings.

AKG, eh? Never heard of them.

The price was the main reason I was looking at the IE trailing arm ones. Have they changed recently? Is the color any indication of a change in material/compound?

Does anybody make a delrin rear subframe bushing? All I can find are urethane ones and solid aluminum ones. I'd rather go delrin than solid alum.

I already have the delrin trailing arm and diff cover bushings.

                  Thanks,

                  -Erik

From what I understand delrin is better for fixed suspension components (ie subframe/diff) and the trailing arms need a more pliable material for easier rotation.

Where'd u get delrin RTAB's and diff cover anyway?

But also think of this: delrin is a lot "slipperier" than urethane. It allows a part to slide across/inside of it a lot easier.
I would rather use delrin on my rtabs than urethan.

keep in mind delrin and urethane are two totally different materials. Delrin is basically a solid mount, where urethane still gives you some cushioning.

Yeah as I understand, delrin is a self-lubricating material. I guess it's just a lot less pliable and is harsher on the overall ride of the car, which is why most people won't use it.

I might go with delrin RTAB's.

Also, has any one else had shitty experience with the red IE TA bushings?
