lee has said they will only fit some 15's (maybe do a search?), thats why he has provided the templates for mock fitment.

Yeah, I have searched-I know they fit the K1's and TD ProRace 15's. I'm looking for a wider wheel to run 225 r-comps.

Picture of an early prototype from 2004 (first test were done in 2004) . Nobody else makes 32mm rotors for the e30. I may be wrong though, but it's the only kit in the world with such rotors. Other companies will use 21mm discs with straight vanes and street calipers.

KP racers in BMWCCA Club Racing have started using this kit. I believe it will be the reference in racing for next year. The front installation kit's price has increased from $500 to $550usd to which $300/pair of Superlite forged calipers + $160/pair of HD 11.75" x 1.25" rotors + $85 for Q or E pads must be added. $1095 total. New stainless steel brackets now shipped, which make installation even easier than before. Also shipping with direct 10mm-to-1/8npt brakeline adapters so that you can use your own brakelines. Custom brakelines are now optional.

New prices will soon be updated on the website.

The kit I'm going to use is 310mmx28mm, double ventilated rotors with aluminum hats. The calipers are very light aluminum floating calipers with titanium pistons.

                        Hi Asubimmer.

The kit that Brew and others were referring to, is also using aluminum hats, but with fixed calipers and sliding stainless steel pistons, using thick 21mm pads. The fixed caliper will offer more feedback than a sliding caliper, and much less flex. But I am sure you were also referring to the same type. 310mm rotors (12.2") will indeed require 16" wheels. Please let us know where your sourced your kit and how much you paid. Maybe it can be a better alternative for other members.

The kit is offered from Korman Autoworks in Greensboro, NC. Korman also sells a 290mm kit for people with at least 15" wheels. Your brake kits do look like a nice kit that was well planned. Just to point out, I wasn't trying to knock on your product just point out that there is bigger out there. Are your kits suitable for racing slicks on the track?

Hi Asubimmer. Don't worry, I never felt you were knocking on Massive's kit. I think it is interesting to have a large oversight on different products and a vey good thing for e30 owners to know they have the choice, depending on how they will use the brake kits.

Is that the Korman kit you are running? If so, it is basically the same kit as Ireland Engineeering with (Mustang?) sliding calipers.

I can lock hot Hoosiers at will with those 11.75" x 1.25" discs and calipers, but power is only one aspect of the equation. Depending on what pads are used, different drivers will prefer different feedbacks.

I use a version of the Race kit on my e30 M3. Same rotor, same pads, but different calipers. Even with smooth E compound pads, I have to be carefull with the brakes.

BTW I used to make 12.2" x 1.25" kits for e30s, but stopped as many racers prefered to stick to 15" wheels.

                            E30 M3 Rally kit.

yeah thats it. I must say even though I am partial to Korman I would much rather have your kit than one of the ghetto rx7 things that people are throwing together. I've actually enjoyed the conversation w/ you, it shows how much thought you have put into your products and that you guys know what you are doing. The problem w/ like the rx7 kits etc that ppl are putting together here is that they aren't balanced like a kit from you or Korman would be.

And yes pads have a HUGE impact on how the brakes are going to perform. Just the pads can make a kit go from being just ok to very impressive. I'm deff don't know everything about brakes but it seems to me that pad selection is the most importaint part of a setup.
