Hawk HP Plus VS Hawk HPS

This is my daily driver/autoX car. Are the HP Plus pads okay on a daily driver ? I don't mind noise or dust just want the better performer overall. Cheers Brian

If you don't mind noise, Hawk HP+ pads will do an admirable job. But be aware that they will squeal, a lot.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Where would the best place to buy these in terms of price? So far tire rack and bmaparts are both $58 I've found :). Any where cheaper?

Myself I'm going for the HPS.

HP plus pads eat rotors, I say get a set of HPS for the street and get a set of blues(for autocross) or a seperate set of pads for the track.

I have HP+ on my autocross/track car, very good pads but too noisy IMO for a daily driven car.

I run the Hawk HP Plus on the track and they are great. I haven't gotten around to swapping them back out since last weel, so I've been daily driving with them for about a week. They work great on the street as well, but they squeal so much. I need to pull them back out and run my normal street pads because I can't handle the noise.

They (HP+) also spark quite a bit. Have someone drive beside you at night and film your front wheel as you brake hard from highway and up speed.

I can't stand the noise, and run HPS' (on both cars).

Both pads are good but HP is a combo pads for street and track, HP+ like many said, can get really noisy on the street.....unless you are a heavy track addict, go with the +....the HP has great bite hot or cold than most pads out there.

lol, sorry. Reading that again I see my dumbass sentence structure.

The HP+ make scary noises. The HPS' are silent.

I have the HPS on my car, I fucking love them. They bite hard, make no noise, and make barely any dust. I'll definitely buy them again.

I'm starting to think there's something wrong with my brakes. I put them on both my car and my brother's and it's scary when cold. My dad even said that.

Driving at highway speed I jammed the brakes; the car slowed down, but the wheels never locked up. It was pretty scary. Later, I found an empty road, and tried some 30-0 stops... after a few lame attempts, they started grabbing better; the problem went away.

I had the same problem on my e46 years back.. same pads. Perhaps I did something wrong, since so many of you guys don't have any problems. At that time, I took the car in and had the brakes bled, inspected the system, the works.. they said it works fine. This time around, I cleaned and bled the system myself, which is an error-prone process. No better results. I should own a pressure bleeder.

Did you bed in the pads?
