    Brake squeal issue

I put on Mintex pads about 3 years ago, and they were fine for a while.

One day I decided to paint my calipers. Removed the pads, put them back in, same sides and everything, and they squealed horribly. I put up with this for about a year.

Last weekend I decided to finally change them. My mechanic sold me some Pagid pads. I bedded them in according to his reccomendations. These damn things squeal almost worse than the others!

Someone suggested it could be that carrier bolt in the caliper that needs to be replaced but I dont know. Any ideas? Thanks.
EDIT: I also tried using that anti-squeal shit on the first set but that didnt do anything. My Mech says he never uses it.

I don't know which Minitex or Pagid pad you are using, so I can't say whether it is likely to be from the pad choice. Low dust pads or track duty pads are known to be noisy. OE or OE equivalent pads should be pretty quiet.

The rubber guide bolt bushings are a possible cause of noise. With age the rubber gets hard and the holes tend to deform. The bushings are pretty cheap and easy to replace and on a 17 year old car I replace them as a routine maintenance item.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Disc Brake Quiet. The goopy stuff you put on the backs of the pads to keep them from squealing. Available at any auto parts store but I really like the Wurth DBQ we use at my shop.
