Has anyone removed them before and are there any adverse affects from doing so?

It is a good idea to leave them in place on a street car, but on a pure track car, replacing the front shields with cooling duct adapters and ducts makes sense.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Oh, your talking about the stock part attached to the CAR and not on the inside of the RIM? You'll want to keep that. I though you were talking about "dust shield" that get sandwiched between the rim and hub.Originally posted by Matt-BComment
