most people like the feel of a 25mm MC. not sure which car that came off of, but i know ive seen a 30mm MC in a e32 750iL, and i think the e30 m3 came with a 23mm MC, correct?

Don't use the 25mm MC. It increases braking distance. If you doubt me, call Motorsport Connections in Winston-Salem, and ask Billy Reavis why...

I trust him more than anyone on this board.

To be honest, I don't know the exact reason.

I DO know that he refuses to install them any more because it was tested, and the 25mm master cylinder increased stopping distances every time.

On ABS e30's, or via threshold braking? I'm calling the BS flag on this one unless you care to explain the reasoning.

possibly because of less pedal feel on stock calipers. It moves more fluid than the 23 so you dont move the pedal as far and its firmer. It would be via threshold braking Jordan, ABS doesnt care about pedal feel. It makes it harder for most people to threshold brake.

For the 25 out of the M5 you have to have a dual chamber booster. The IX one is dual chamber.
                    Im now E30less.

I'll talk to him tomorrow and get the exact reason.

i dont see how that can be true when the deciding factor for braking distance on a e30 is the amount of grip they have. your never going to be using 100% of the cars braking power unless your braking from high track speeds. the 25mm MC makes the pedal feel 100x better imo, and that is the reason for buying one. i never thought i would be getting better stopping power from a 25mm MC, but i sure didnt think i would be losing any.

I have a 90 325i, and was wondering which would be a direct swap? Was ABS standard this year? Ive never noticed it working before.

                              thanks
