51mm struts with 318i brakes

I’d like to upgrade the shocks/struts on my 1984 318i. My 45 mm strut housing are pretty rusted from 35 years of northeast conditions. Since there are few clean 45mm strut housings around I was thinking about going with a pair of 51mm housings. Will I have any issues using my 318i solid discs and calipers.

I may have a set off my '85 318i in the near future. I'm looking at upgrading to 4 wheel discs. If you're interested pm me. I'd probably sell whatever I don't re use dirt cheap since a already have a shed full of parts.
