    New Springs, Rear Very Low

So I just installed h&r oe sport springs all the way around and my rear end is too low. I attached pictures showing the awful reverse rake, and another picture showing what I hope is a spring resting normally.

I have thicker spring pads that I will swap in when I do a full rear subframe r&r later this year. I am assuming the thicker pads will get the ride height much better. Installed are new 7.5mm and the ones I have in boxes are 12mm. How much difference do you guys think that will make at the wheel?

Lastly, why are the new springs so compressed with coils touching when they were just installed? Is that normal on these cars? I was able to get them in without trouble, no tools needed.

I never did OE sports, but regular sports and races both normally have some inter coil spacing. How does it ride?

The binding coils is normal with the stock diameter lowering springs. H&R calls them dead inactive coils, which keep the springs in place as the suspension unloads. I think the fronts do the same thing, but the dead coils are at the top instead of the middle.

mtech325 Thank you for putting my mind at rest. I will install the larger spring pads with these springs later on.

Here is my setup and driving impressions (still in progress with rear end/finishing stuff).

Front has m3 style sway bar links with stock sway bar and ground control camber plates. Front has new everything, reinforced subframe etc.

Car eyeball aligned only since swapping in z3 rack and offset CAB
          New koni yellows
          New OE sport springs F/R
In back nothing is too blown out original style stuff

I need to figure out how to stiffen the rear shocks because it still feels like a lot of body roll back there. I stood on the rear diving board and best I could tell it wasn't bottoming out...so, good?
