BTW- Depends on what you do with your car. If I had to do it over again, I would probably go IE Stage III springs with Konis. I would also have bought a 318iS.
I like the GCs, but as mentioned above, if I did it again I'd go IE Stage III with Konis. The linear rate springs beat the SHIT out of me on anything other than glassy smooth roads.
The IEs are very manageable in comparison.
"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

It's strange you mention that. I'm right in the process of doing IE 3 / Koni SA on a 318is.
all my race cars have all used a Koni/GC Set up. That is also what is going on my E30 soon.
I have found that for the money and overal performance they are the best. It also depends on what you want to do. If it is just a daily driver car then they might be a bit stiff for that. Also why pay extra for adjustability when you dont need it. No real reason for corner weighting a daily driver.
If you look at a large portion of the top cars in SCCA competition most use GC coilovers in some setup with Koni Shocks. If they dont its usually a Penske or Moton set up which is $$$$$$$!
