    wow.

    As for cutting springs, I wouldn't go too crazy. Just buy some H&R sports and good shocks and you will be much happier. Yeah, its more expensive, but its worth it.

                  I was going to do this, but I got a set of m3 springs on the cheap

                  you can usually get them (used) for around $100

                  it droped me 3/4in in the front (no pads) and 1/4in rear

                    just for all the nay sayers, the springs came out nice. lower the front about 1" by cutting bottom of front springs about 2 inches. Took out the pads in the rear which lowered it maybe 3/4". It handles well. For a budget it works

                      My car came with cut springs and honestly they rode better (with bilsteins) than the eibach pros I have now, while still being a little lower. They seemed stiffer too. They just sucked because I had to hold them in place every time i lowered my car off a jack.

                        I'm sure you measured the car to get these numbers.

                        I don't think the pads thickness together are even 1/2", even without compression from the springs.

                          I remember when I thought bad springs handled better too... You have much to learn.
