lowered cab, springs fall out- how to prevent

i must resolve the issue of my rear springs being able to fall out everytime i raise the car, or possibly jump it.

i heard of drilling, installing a cable through certain parts, but where, and how large a diameter on the cable, and if there is a guide or how-to, please let me know.

You can use shocks designed for a lowered car, such as Bilstein Sport or Koni sport (for an e30, not for a Mustang) or, Ground Control has designed and sells a special upper mount to reduce the droop of the rear shocks.

This pulls the rear shock up higher, the same as a "sport" shock, so the rear spring doesn't come loose.

We have so many e30s around here that there are not very many "surprise problems" left that we don't have an answer for.

agree. shorter shocks usually alleviate this issue when lowering.

          THANK YOU ALL...

nice..i hoped there was a better fix than a scabby cable.
          so...
what shocks exactly> anyone, (or how much for the extra rear mounts...(kinda blows b/c my shocks are fairly new)...

so, in the meantime, is there a specific length of shock for different ride heights ?

thyanks...i looked at the g.c. webpage, but did not find that photo...i did find the rear inserts, but the pic reported a very shallow style, and i did notice a few different sizes (from 10mm to 14mm.)..and wonder..which one is in the pic ?
