Want to lower the front moooooore!!

Here is my dilemma.I lowered my car with 60/60 springs but the front is not low enough. So i thought of just removing my spring pads to lower it a little. What do you guys think? And by removing the pads, how much will it lower? And what do the spring pads look like?

Here are the pictures of my car! I got some sportmaxx's on the car, so start the flaming!:-D

The rear has a perfect drop:

    Thanks in advance guys!!!

Your best bet to lower your car more is some GC camber plates. or cut one coil.
But thats about it. Spring pad is only going to gain you maybe at most 1/4 inch..

Is it possible to cut a coil without taking the shock apart? What is cheaper drop hats or camber plates?

You might be able to cut a coil without removing it, but I highly doubt it and don't advise it. Plus you'll have a harder time cutting the same length off of each side. Drop hats are most likely cheaper, but not a lot of people make them. Camber plates that effectively lower your car are expensive. GC's for around $300.

The company that used to make them was Beckers, but they have been nla from them for a while. There was a guy on here that was making some but I don't remember his name or if he is still making them.

Good camber plates really are the best way to do it, even though they are a bit pricey. They give you more shock travel in addition to another 2 adjustments for the front end of your car.

No one notices the early front end coupled with late model plastics and big tails in the rear?

Noticed, but didn't point it out. I'm guessing it was wrecked in the front end, Unless someone really loves DB's.

It was wrecked and he pointed it out in his other thread. Thats the way he bought it.

To make it even more of a mix-up I think that's an 1988 only slightly shorter diving board.;)

Try parking the car on level ground and it'll look lower...

Take out the spring pads, they don't make a huge difference but you'll notice it, they're easy to identify, rubber pads on the top and bottom of the coils.

I think i will just end up cutting a coil since i can't really afford buying GC camber plates right now. Do you think half of a coil is enough? Or should i go with one coil? Let me know guys because all of your opinions matter to me!Thanks fellas

I don't know what kind of springs you have but I know on my car half a coil won't make any difference because the first coils binds with the second one anyway as soon as you put any weight on it, might be different for you though.

Make sure if you're going to cut them that the spring will still have enough tension to hold itself in place when you jack the car up off the ground, otherwise you have to align the coil in its place everytime you drop the car down, which is a big pain in the ass.
